2020 NFL Mock Draft: Colts luck into new quarterback, Dolphins start future
By Randy Gurzi
Have Cleveland Browns fatigue yet? No team has been hyped up more than the orange and brown crew in the AFC North, but it’s happening for good reason. Baker Mayfield is a star at quarterback and now he has some of the biggest names in the NFL catching passes from him in Odell Beckham, Jr. and Jarvis Landry.
Mayfield also has some of the best running backs to work with as Nick Chubb is going to start for them and after serving an eight-game suspension, former NFL rushing champ Karem Hunt will join the roster.
It isn’t only the offense that has people hopping on their bandwagon as general manager John Dorsey also brought in Olivier Vernon, Greedy Williams, and Sheldon Richardson this offseason.
As great as all that is, there’s a glaring weakness on this team, the offensive line. Cleveland found a way to work with this group last season but there was a lot of smoke and mirrors. The line was protected by changing the blocking scheme and dialing up plays that had the ball coming out almost as quickly as it was snapped.
This season could be even worse considering they traded away Kevin Zeitler and had a pretty rough battle looking for his successor. They need to add more help up front and they do that with Trey Adams from Washington.
The concern with Adams is durability as he’s missed a lot of time in his collegiate career. However, should he prove he can stay healthy, this could be a steal at this point.
