player. 49. . Wide Receiver. Alabama. Henry Ruggs. 22

Davante Adams entered 2018 without a 1,000-yard season under his belt (he had 997 in 2016) but was still considered one of the best in the game at his position due to the 22 touchdowns he had in 2016 and 2017 combined. Then he finally seemed to max out on his potential after the team moved on from Jordy Nelson.

Adams wound up pulling in 111 passes for 1,386 yards, and 13 touchdowns — all of which were career highs. There’s no doubt he’ll continue to be the top targeted player for the Green Bay Packers in 2019 and with Randall Cobb now gone as well, he’s the only player on the roster with extensive experience.

Green Bay is hoping he will get some help with Marquez Valdes-Scantling and Geronimo Allison on the roster but that doesn’t mean they can’t use more help. That’s what leads to the selection of Henry Ruggs here as the second ‘Bama receiver comes off the board in Round 1.

Ruggs isn’t as big of a threat as his counterpart Jerry Jeudy, but he has the tools to be a great No. 2 receiver. He averages more than 16-yards per catch and pulled in an impressive 11 touchdowns this past season.
