123. . Tight End. Stanford. Colby Parkinson. 26. player

The return of Jason Witten — following a rough season of him calling games on ESPN’s Monday Night Football — gives the Dallas Cowboys a tight end they trust in the lineup once again. Now, they’re not living in a fairy tale here as they know that Witten isn’t going to last much longer, and at 37-years of ager, he won’t even produce at the level he once did.

What they do hope is that he can help former Oklahoma State tight end Blake Jarwin and Dalton Schultz, the Stanford product, develop into solid pros. Each has his strengths and weaknesses. Jarwin excels as a receiver while struggling in the blocking game whereas Schultz is good as a blocker but needs work as a receiver.

If neither of them develops into a well-rounded option, the Cowboys need to strongly consider drafting a tight end in 2020, which they do here. Their selection is Schultz former teammate, Colby Parkinson, who is a huge target at the position.

Standing 6-foot-7 and 251-pounds, Parkinson had a good season after taking over for Schultz in 2018. He brought in 29 passes for 485 yards and seven touchdowns. For Dallas, he could be the answer they need at a position they’re not used to hurting at.
