51. . Linebacker. Clemson. Isaiah Simmons. 29. player

Last year, the Los Angeles Rams fell just short of winning it all as they were defeated in the Super Bowl by the New England Patriots. Oddly enough, the offensive powerhouse scored just three points in this one, but they should still be fine on that side of the ball, as this was just a case of them being outmatched by arguably the best dynasty of all-time.

With that being the case, they add more to the defense here as they land a versatile linebacker in Clemson’s Isaiah Simmons. Brad Kelly of The Draft Network calls Simmons an “Athletic freak and Swiss Army Knife.”

"“Simmons is listed at 6’4 and 225 pounds, a unique size for any player on the defensive side. His role is ever changing, and he’s asked to be as multiple as possible. Simmons is a converted safety who will play Sam and Will linebacker, be walked up on the edge and be tasked with playing the overhang against certain formations. He’s spent time as the nickelback as well.” — Kelly, The Draft Network"

His ability to play both linebacker and safety could land him in a hybrid role like the one Mark Barron used to fill. He can help in coverage while also being a great addition in run support due to his instincts and size.

The Rams should continue to be a strong contender, especially if they keep improving on the defensive side of the ball.
