This 2020 NFL Mock Draft finishes up with the Kansas City Chiefs on the board. They were incredibly close to making the Super Bowl last season but fell just short as their defense was unable to get the New England Patriots off the field in overtime.

With their huge offensive stars — such as MVP Patrick Mahomes — sidelined in the biggest moment, the front office realized they needed to make some changes in the offseason.

So far, they have done just that. They traded away Dee Ford and released Justin Houston as they started to usher in a whole new crew of defenders. They traded for edge rushers Frank Clark and Emmanuel Ogbah while also signing safety Tyrann Mathieu.

They continued to make moves in the draft as they landed another safety in Juan Thornhill, who was an absolute ballhawk at the University of Virginia. Again, this is the side of the line of scrimmage they focus on in this mock as they grab Anfernee Jennings out of Alabama.

A fifth-year senior, Jennings has been a solid player throughout his career but is expected to take on an even bigger role this season with Mack Wilson now in the NFL.

For the Chiefs, he can be a difference-maker as he’s able to attack off the edge — 5.5 sacks in 2018 — and knows how to find the football in a crowd. It’s hard to go wrong with ‘Bama players and this kid looks to be another solid pro.
