Alabama. Jerry Jeudy. 4. player. 56. . Wide Receiver

The Cincinnati Bengals enter this season with a lot of cap space dedicated to the wide receiver position. Their superstar player is A.J. Green, who enters the year with a cap number of just over $15 million according to OverTheCap.com. They also have Tyler Boyd, who just signed a four-year contract worth up to $43 million.

However, this could be the last season we see Green wearing the striped helmet in Cincinnati. At 31-years of age, Green is in the final year of his contract and enters the season rehabbing an ankle injury that required surgery. Cincinnati expects him back early enough that they didn’t place him on injured reserve but there’s no clear timetable.

This comes on the heels of a season that saw Green miss seven games for the Bengals and has to bring into question whether or not they want to keep paying him going forward. In this scenario, they don’t as they decide to turn to Jerry Jeudy out of Alabama instead.

Jeudy had a breakout season as a sophomore, pulling in 68 passes for 1,315 yards with 14 touchdowns. He averaged 19.3 yards per catch and proved to be one of the top pass-catchers in the nation. For new head coach Zac Taylor, it gives him a new No. 1 option as they look to get younger in the jungle.
