7. player. 59. . Offensive Tackle. Georgia. Andrew Thomas

There were plenty of rumors circulating that the Miami Dolphins were looking to move left tackle Laremy Tunsil — and the Houston Texans seemed to be the trade partner all along.

For a while, it looked as though Jadeveon Clowney would be part of a package gained in the trade, but that wasn’t expected to go well in the locker room. According to Adam H. Beasley of the Miami Herald, there could be a “revolt” if this trade were to go through.

"“Should Laremy Tunsil be included in a trade for Jadeveon Clowney? Absolutely not, according to Dolphins players who “would revolt” if the Dolphins ship out one of their best and most-liked players on the eve of the regular season, a well-placed source tells the Miami Herald.” — Beasley, Miami Herald"

In the end, that trade didn’t happen as Clowney went to the Seattle Seahawks. However, the Dolphins did still trade Tunsil, but they got a massive haul as the Texans gave up two first-round picks, a second, and Julie’n Davenport.

Now, they replace Tunsil on the field with Andrew Thomas out of Georgia. The first tackle off the board in this 2020 NFL Mock Draft, Thomas will at least soften the blow of losing Tunsil, but that won’t help the team during the 2019 season.
