7.196: Josiah Deguara, TE, Cincinnati

We now enter the last round of the draft, and the Browns add another tight end behind David Njoku. Dorsey brought in a talent that he discovered in former basketball player Demetrius Harris this summer, but he has struggled this preseason in his first year as a Brown; Cleveland moved on from former fourth-rounder Seth Devalve after three years and currently have Pharoah Brown and Rico Gathers still on the roster.

Brown and Gathers are easily replaceable while Harris remains a solid option at the tight end position. If Harris continues to struggle throughout this season, however, the Browns could look to add another tight end through the draft. Cincinnati’s Josiah Deguara is starting to gather some steam after his game against UCLA last week.

Deguara shredded the Bruins for 53 yards and a score on four catches in the Bearcats’ week one win after coming off a career season a year ago. The fifth-year senior tallied nearly 500 yards and five scores off of 38 catches for Cincinnati a year ago.

At 6-3 and 240 pounds, Deguara could become a reliable asset for Mayfield and the Browns as their third tight end as he learns the ropes of the NFL. Keep an eye on the Ohio native as he looks to make a name for himself in his fifth and final collegiate season.
