2. WR Allen Robinson

During the 2018 offseason, Bears general manager Ryan pace made a concerted effort to update the club’s wide receiving corps. He signed veterans Allen Robinson and Taylor Gabriel and used a second round draft pick on Anthony Miller.

It all paid off for Chicago in 2018 as quarterback Mitch Trubisky benefited greatly from the new faces. While running back Terry Cohen led the team with 71 catches, Robinson finished second among the club’s wideouts with 55 receptions, good for a team-best 754 yards and four touchdowns. His 13.7 yards per catch led all players on the team with 10 or more grabs.

On Thursday night in the 10-3 loss to the Green Bay Packers, the former Jacksonville Jaguars’ standout enjoyed a solid evening. Robinson was targeted a game-high 13 times and pulled down seven balls for 102 yards. Trubisky finished the evening with 228 yards through the air and Robinson accounted for nearly half of that total.

A year ago, the Chicago passing attack accounted for 28 scores through the air. There was no trip to the end zone against a Green Bay defense that racked up five sacks by game’s end. All told, Robinson was a bright spot in a disappointing showing for the defending NFC North champions.
