The Dallas Cowboys start the 2019 season with a game against the hated New York Giants. In order to win, these three players need to show up.

After going 10-6 and winning the NFC East for the second time in three seasons, the Dallas Cowboys start their 2019 campaign with a matchup against a divisional rival. The New York Giants travel to AT&T Stadium in Arlington and Dallas looks to continue their success against one of their biggest rivals.

Last season, the Cowboys swept the Giants as they earned their first and last regular-season victories against Eli Manning and company. Week 2 was a 20-13 win whereas Week 17 was a little tougher game.

Dallas won on a fourth-down touchdown pass from Dak Prescott to Cole Beasley (who is no longer with the team). They then converted on a two-point try as they stole the game 36-35.

In that win, tight end Blake Jarwin had the game of his career. The second-year player had seven receptions for 119 yards and three touchdowns. Should they want to continue their winning ways against the Giants, they’re going to need some players to show up in a big way. Here, we look at the three who they need more than anyone else.

Non-player needed: Kellen Moore

Before diving into the players, we look at one member of the coaching staff who will loom large this weekend. That would be offensive coordinator Kellen Moore, who is in his first season in this role.

Moore takes over for Scott Linehan, who had become painfully predictable with his play-calling. Should this team want to take the next step, they’ll need Moore to get the best out of his weapons.

If he is unable to handle the job, things could get ugly quickly for this team, which is why he at least needs to be mentioned here.
