The Jacksonville Jaguars will need these three players to have big games against Kansas City in Week 1 of the 2019 regular season.

The Jacksonville Jaguars have the opportunity to make a statement with a big win in week 1. Jacksonville faces an explosive offense in the Kansas City Chiefs. Remember last season, the Chiefs won 30-14.

Patrick Mahomes will be making his first appearance at TIAA Bank Field as the Chiefs quarterback. In Kansas City, he threw for 313 yards against the vaunted Jaguars defense. However, the Jaguars were the only team that he did not throw a touchdown pass against.

Jacksonville has restructured their offense throughout the offseason. Nick Foles is the leader of the offense. Most of all, the offensive line is healthy going into this first game.

Doug Marrone must be creative in his game plan. Jacksonville must control the line of scrimmage on both sides of the ball. Special teams might be a factor in determining the winner, especially containing the elusive Tyreek Hill on punts.

You might have the best game plan ever conceived by any NFL head coach ever, but players play the game. Jacksonville must play each down intensely despite giving up a big one on the previous one. The Jaguars can not afford to allow the Chiefs to build early momentum.

There are three players who must show up big on Sunday, the first of which will provide protection for Foles and help open up holes for Leonard Fournette.
