1. Taven Bryan

Taven Bryan is facing a huge challenge this season. Bryan was the Jaguars top selection in the 2018 NFL Draft. Currently, he has failed to prove that Jacksonville made the right pick.

Bryan had a tough preseason this year. He played in the majority of games but really did not create a lasting impression. However, he made the roster but will not start on Sunday against Kansas City.

Bryan will be in the rotation as relief to the starter, Marcell Dareus. He must get off blocks to pressure the Chiefs quarterback. Unfortunately, he struggled to play consistently throughout the preseason.

Let’s hope the switch gets turned on and Bryan plays worthy of his draft selection. Wouldn’t you expect a number one draft pick to be able to excel against reserves in preseason games? The pressure is on Bryan to perform.

Bryan is aware of his deficiencies. John Reid of jacksonville.com quotes Bryan:

"“I haven’t really shown what I can do,” Bryan said. “I just got to work on a lot of things. I have to make sure my pass rush looks a little better. … The more pressure, the more hits and touches you can get on a man, the better we can do. I really got to step it up.”"

Jacksonville needs Bryan to show up big. Kansas City will expose him if he fails to step up his game.
