Bills vs. Jets, NFL Week 1: Preview, odds, prediction, TV channel, live stream
The Buffalo Bills and New York Jets have variable outlooks for 2019 but look to get off to a hot start as they meet in NFL Week 1. Here’s the info you need.
Both the Buffalo Bills and New York Jets aimed to set their futures in the right direction last offseason. Each team made their move in the 2018 NFL Draft to select a quarterback, landing Josh Allen and Sam Darnold, respectively. On Sunday in NFL Week 1, the two teams will renew a potential new rivalry as they square off at MetLife Stadium.
As they brought in Adam Gase to be their new head coach, the Jets also brought in a ton of reinforcements to help Darnold in the 2019 season. Gang Green signed Le’Veon Bell as a key addition to the offense while supplementing the defense with the signing of C.J. Mosley and drafting Quinnen Williams with the No. 3 pick.
Buffalo wasn’t shy about moving the get Allen help this offseason and the offense could have a new look. The Bills signed wide receiver John Brown and Cole Beasley to help the cause and now have a new-look running back group with rookie Devin Singletary and veteran Frank Gore. With Ed Oliver also joining a loaded defense, this team has a nice roster.
Allen and Darnold could provide the NFL with a great deal of fun as they face off for possibly the next decade-plus. Thus, it’s fun to see that rivalry in its infancy with a matchup such as this.

This is a game where it’s hard to get a feel for where you should bet. The Jets and Bills fill relatively evenly matched. However, at the end of the day, I would give the edge to the home team against the spread and moneyline — though with not a lot of confidence. Given the strength of these two defenses, I feel more confident in the Over.
