Everyone wondered what Lamar Jackson and the Baltimore Ravens offense would look like in 2019. Right out of the gate, they look downright unstoppable.

The Baltimore Ravens gave Lamar Jackson the keys to the offense as a rookie in 2018. After shipping Joe Flacco out in the 2019 offseason, though, the question was what John Harbaugh’s offense would look like with a full year of planning for the dynamic quarterback. Week 1 against the Miami Dolphins would be the first look at it.

To put it simply, Jackson and the Ravens have been untouchable. On the first play of the game, free-agent addition Mark Ingram rushed for 49 yards through the heart of the Miami defense and that was just the start of things to come for Baltimore.

In the first quarter against the Dolphins, Baltimore could do no wrong. Ingram capped off that first drive with a touchdown. Jackson was throwing it all over the yard, specifically to rookie speedster Marquise Brown, who notched the Ravens next two touchdowns on big plays.

The quarterback then found the end zone with two more touchdown tosses, one to Willie Snead and one to another rookie, Miles Boykin. For good measure, Ingram added another score before halftime.

Just take a look at how easily this offense was moving down the field, starting with the first Brown touchdown.

Then the second, an 83-yard beauty.

Then came the Snead touchdown.

And finally a pedestrian throw to Boykin in the end zone.

At the end of the first half, Lamar Jackson and the Ravens held a dominant 42-10 lead over the Dolphins. And the stat lines in Baltimore were absolutely unreal.

Jackson had just one incompletion in the first two quarters (and it didn’t come until under three minutes to play), going 10-of-11 for 210 yards and four touchdowns. Ingram finished the first half with nine carries for 77 yards and two scores while Brown led the way with four receptions for 147 yards and two touchdowns.

Perhaps the craziest part of the Ravens’ electric offense was that Jackson wasn’t even using his legs. One of the most electric runners ever at quarterback, the second-year pro only had two rushes for seven yards in the first 30 minutes against the Dolphins.

It has to be mentioned that this is the Dolphins that Baltimore is playing, a team that is tearing their roster down to the studs in a rebuild. They could be on the wrong end of many games like this in 2019.

At the same time, though, the Ravens looked the part of an unstoppable force offensively against a bad defense. If this is a sign of things to come, the Lamar Jackson era in Baltimore could be must-watch TV every week.
