The Washington Redskins visit the Philadelphia Eagles in Week 1 of the 2019 NFL season to kick off NFC East action. Here’s all the info you need to watch.

What better way to welcome football back in NFL Week 1 than an old-fashioned NFC East matchup. On Sunday at Lincoln Financial Field, the Philadelphia Eagles will welcome the Washington Redskins to town as one team looks to make a run towards another title and another looks to try and find reasons for optimism.

Many people are saying that the Eagles have the most complete roster in the NFL entering the 2019 season. Though Nick Foles is no longer offering a safety blanket, Carson Wentz is healthy and ready to deliver for the Philly offense. Armed with new addition Jordan Howard in the backfield and protected by one of the best and deepest defenses in the league, this team is going to be tough for anyone to beat.

Unfortunately for fans in the nation’s capital, that particularly applies to the Redskins as they enter Week 1 of the regular season.

Make no mistake, Washington has some nice pieces, particularly on defense where their young core is quite impressive. However, with Case Keenum slated to start at quarterback over first-round rookie Dwayne Haskins, the offense leaves a lot to be desired. That’s furthered by Trent Williams’ holdout and a severe lack of weaponry in this offense.

In all honesty, this Week 1 matchup could be a bit of a blowout. While the Eagles are potential Super Bowl contenders, the Redskins could be in contention for a top-five pick in the 2020 NFL Draft. Even still, the NFC East is welcoming football back and, with it being the first week of the season, anything can happen.
