Buffalo Bills (1-0) at New York Giants (0-1)

Sunday, September 15, 1PM ET

Again — it’s so hard to judge teams based off of their Week 1 performances. The Buffalo Bills barely won, but were the New York Jets much of a challenge anyway? The New York Giants may have been beaten badly by the Dallas Cowboys, but that may be a bigger statement about the latter’s potential in 2019.

I actually think the Giants won’t be as bad as most expect this season. I’m not saying they’re going to the playoffs or anything like that, but they aren’t going to get rolled over on a weekly basis. Especially if they can get some decent play from Eli Manning (or Daniel Jones), New York should earn a handful of wins this season.

One of them will come in Week 2, when they take on the Bills. Buffalo’s calling card is their defense, which looks like it may be nearly as good as it was a season ago. The problem has been their lack of consistent play on offense, especially from the quarterback position. While Josh Allen can be a liability, he’s also a capable playmaker who has talent around him.

The Bills won’t back down from the Giants in this one, but I see this coming down to mental mistakes. Allen is prone to them, and that’ll ultimately lead to the G-Men taking the lead and holding it through to the final whistle.
