NFL Week 2, 2019: 20 Bold predictions to consider

15. Barkley catches 10+ passes for Giants
Now that Odell Beckham Jr. is no longer part of the picture for Eli Manning to rely on, don’t be surprised to see the New York Giants quarterback take advantage of having Saquon Barkley to work with as much as possible.
Despite the criticism for going with a running back with their first-round pick in 2018 instead of a quarterback to potentially replace Manning down the road, Barkley clearly seems like he was the right choice.
There’s a reason why the former Penn State star was viewed as one of the top running backs from that draft class, and what makes Barkley even more dangerous on offense is his ability to be just as effective in the passing game.
Whenever a quarterback can count on their running back to quickly dump the football off to when needed, it gives the offense a huge advantage.
After catching 91 passes as a rookie last year, chances are Barkley will display similar numbers during his sophomore campaign when it’s all said and done.
Recording just four receptions for 19 yards against the Dallas Cowboys was a bit surprising for Barkley, but expect much better results in the department when the Giants take on the Buffalo Bills.
