3. New York Giants

Week 1 Result: 35-17 loss to the Dallas Cowboys

At least the Giants are a team no one really feels is going to be good this season anyways. So New York’s embarrassing performance against the Cowboys on Sunday likely didn’t come as a surprise to many.

The Giants got on the scoreboard first in their Week 1 matchup and then they proceeded to give up 21-straight points to Dallas. New York’s defense was so terrible on Sunday that it might result in the Cowboys now having to give Dak Prescott a contract that pays him $40 million per year.

The only bright spot for the Giants is that they have Saquon Barkley on their roster. But New York having Barkley isn’t going to matter if their defense continues to do an impression of Swiss cheese every week.

2. Pittsburgh Steelers

Week 1 Result: 33-3 loss to the New England Patriots

There aren’t many words to use when describing the Steelers’ performance in Week 1 other than garbage. Yes, they were facing the defending Super Bowl champions, but Pittsburgh did absolutely nothing well on Sunday.

The Steelers were horrible on third down, they couldn’t run the ball, and they had no answer for Tom Brady and the rest of the Patriots’ offense. Most assumed Pittsburgh would at least put up a fight, but they pretty much surrendered the win as soon as they took the field.

The Steelers have the talent to recover and still have a good season this year. But they better get things figured out soon or else they could be heading towards their first losing record since 2003.
