Chicago Bears: 5 Players who must shine vs. Broncos in Week 2
After struggling offensively and dropping the season opener in Week 1, the Chicago Bears look to bounce back against the Denver Broncos. Here are five players who must step up to make that happen.
The Chicago Bears didn’t exactly get out of the gate spectacularly in Week 1. Though the defense did a good job, the offense struggled to move the ball for most of the game. When it finally did get the ball moving int he fourth quarter, a fatal error resulted in an interception in the end zone that all but wrapped up the loss.
The Bears now travel to Denver to face the Broncos, who also lost. They face the team’s former defensive coordinator, Vic Fangio. Fangio is learning how different it is to coach an entire team as opposed to just the defense. Nagy is trying to get his offense running smoothly and try to at least score a touchdown.
With the loss, the critics came out in droves. The Mitchell Trubisky haters patted themselves on the back, thinking that the one game proved they were right and he’ll never be a good quarterback.
Also, there were some, I would say, fair-weathered fans. They’re already declaring the season a total disaster and all hope lost.
Those who are more centered have a good idea that the season is not lost and there is still hope. One game doesn’t make the season. They lost their opener last season as well. They also had a few stinkers but they overcame all that to finish 12-4 and win the division.
Now the Bears need to forget what happened and move on. They don’t want to dig themselves a hole and make it difficult to come back. In order to do that, five players need to step up and shine. Here are those players.
