2. Jason Witten, TE, Dallas Cowboys (Week 2: at Redskins)

Although he only had three catches for 15 yards, one of those was a red zone touchdown in the Dallas Cowboys’ dominant Week 1 win over the rival Giants. Witten may have taken a year off to hit the broadcast booth and will split time with fellow tight end Blake Jarwin, but he’s burned the Redskins plenty of times before in the past.

Look for the 37-year old veteran to have a few tricks up his sleeve when Dallas returns to the nation’s capital on Sunday. Another touchdown or two certainly isn’t out of the question for one of the league’s all-time greats at the tight end position.

1. Jared Cook, TE, New Orleans Saints (Week 2: at Rams)

This last pick really isn’t a sleeper per se, but he would be a good bet against a suspect Rams’ linebacking corp. Cook has been one of the league’s best tight ends for a few years now, coming off one of the best fantasy football seasons of his career in Oakland, and he’s playing with arguably the best quarterback of his career, depending on how you view Aaron Rodgers.

Cook didn’t exactly light the world on fire in the Saints’ win over Houston in Week 1, but Drew Brees hasn’t had a tight end as good as Cook since Jimmy Graham went to Seattle. Don’t be surprised to see Brees and Cook exploit a few holes in the Rams’ coverage next Sunday afternoon.
