Wide Receiver

Start: Alshon Jeffery (vs. Falcons)

Alshon Jeffery completely eclipsed his projected 8.3 points in Week 1 with a great start to his 2019 campaign. He had five receptions for 49 yards and a score and also snuck into the end zone on a rush, which added up to 17.1 fantasy points.

Even though the Falcons held the two Vikings Pro Bowl wide receivers to only 80 yards and a score combined, Carson Wentz is a better passer and overall quarterback than Kirk Cousins. Jeffery is projected for 8.9 fantasy points in Week 2 but look for him to be close to repeating his Week 1 performance and surpass his projections again against an inconsistent Falcons secondary.

Sit: Larry Fitzgerald (vs. Ravens)

Much like Jeffery, Larry Fitzgerald started his 2019 season off with a bang. Tallying eight receptions for 113 yards and a touchdown. Fitzgerald clearly emerged as rookie Kyler Murray’s favorite target after posting an insane 13 targets. However, the Baltimore defense, while going up against the worst team in the league the Miami Dolphins, is the most technically sound defense in football.

The Ravens held the Dolphins receivers to 162 yards total and that was with a seasoned veteran quarterback, Ryan Fitzpatrick, under center. Murray struggled mightily in the first three quarters of his NFL debut and his only consistent target was Fitzgerald. But with Marlon Humphrey shadowing the 16-year vet, look for the Cardinals to run the ball more and for Murray to look elsewhere on Sunday.
