The Pittsburgh Steelers need a win after a devastating loss to the New England Patriots. Pittsburgh faces the Seattle Seahawks in Week 2.

Well, that first week wasn’t very fun for Pittsburgh Steelers fans. The New England Patriots served the Steelers a depressing, eye-opening loss in Foxborough. Pittsburgh was unable to move the ball on offense and couldn’t buy a defensive stop.

The team looked unprepared, uncertain, and mentally tired, which is weird considering they didn’t even have to deal with Antonio Brown or Le’Veon Bell in the preseason.

In Week 2, the Steelers will return home to Heinz Field and face the Seattle Seahawks. The Seahawks managed to beat the Cincinnati Bengals 21-20 last week. The Seahawks were a ten-win playoff team last year, but Pittsburgh should be able to win the game. If the Bengals took the game to the wire, then surely the Steelers can come out on top.

Here are five bold predictions for Pittsburgh at home in Week 2.

5. Ben Roethlisberger throws for 400 yards

If you’re a Steelers fan, then you’ve seen just how explosive Ben Roethlisberger can be. He currently holds the record for the most 500-yard passing games in NFL history with three. While I don’t anticipate that kind of performance on Sunday, I still think Big Ben is in for a bounce-back performance.

Andy Dalton completed 35 of 51 pass attempts against the Seahawks for 418 yards and two touchdowns. If the Red Rifle can open up like that on Seattle’s secondary, then Roethlisberger should be able to do the same. The Steelers have more weapons than the Bengals right now too. This is an opportunity for Roethlisberger and JuJu Smith-Schuster to make a statement.

Pittsburgh cannot overlook the opportunity to display offensive dominance against Seattle. Such a display. would go a long way to restoring the team’s credibility in the eyes of the NFL world.
