Jalen Ramsey has reportedly requested a trade from the Jaguars after a confrontation with his head coach. Which NFL teams should trade for the All-Pro?

On Sunday in an eventual loss to the Texans, Jacksonville Jaguars all-world cornerback Jalen Ramsey and head coach Doug Marrone got into a heated confrontation on the sideline with other members of the team having to separate them. And for anyone thinking that it wouldn’t amount to anything, it appears that Jalen Ramsey now wants a trade.

ESPN’s Adam Schefter and Chris Mortensen reported on Monday that Ramsey and his agent have requested a trade from the Jaguars. Schefter added that Jacksonville wants a first-round pick at minimum for Ramsey but would like more than that in a deal. Moreover, one source for Schefter says that the cornerback could be traded this week.

Though that price is steep, many NFL teams would be willing to pay it. For all the boisterousness and bravado that Ramsey possesses, he’s an elite defensive back in the league. And for a team that’s either aggressive in such trade situations or in win-now mode, making this move would help them tremendously.

Having that in mind, let’s take a look at five potential landing spots for a Jalen Ramsey in a trade.

5. Tennessee Titans

Looking at the Tennessee Titans group of cornerbacks, there actually isn’t a huge problem with the players that they have in place. From Malcolm Butler to Logan Ryan to Adoree’ Jackson, Mike Vrabel‘s team has a strong group at the position. Having said that, Jalen Ramsey would be a clear upgrade over all three of those players and certainly one that offers more consistency in pass coverage.

Furthermore, we know that Ramsey would 100 percent enjoy playing in Tennessee. In fact, Ramsey said in a podcast appearance earlier this offseason that, should he hit free agency, the Titans would be one of his preferred destinations. Considering that he’s a Nashville native, it’s not a shock that he’d want to play for his hometown team.

What’s unclear at this point is just where the Titans believe they’re at. They have a talented overall roster but you have to wonder what their ceiling is with Marcus Mariota at quarterback. Even still, adding an elite cornerback like Ramsey would 100 percent improve this team’s playoff chances and fortunes beyond that.
