14. Los Angeles Chargers (11)

They put up 30 points last week, but then managed just one-third of that in Week 2. The Los Angeles Chargers offense wasn’t up to the task this week as they traveled to Detroit for a game with the Lions. They moved the ball well overall, with 293 yards from Philip Rivers and 137 on the ground.

However, they had a couple of turnovers as Rivers threw a pick and Austin Ekeler lost a fumble. It was just enough to slow their offense down and they couldn’t hold the 10-6 lead they entered the fourth quarter with as they surrendered a 31-yard score to Kenny Golladay off the hand of Matthew Stafford.

For the Chargers, it has to be somewhat frustrating, especially after watching the Lions defense give up 18 points in the fourth quarter last week against the Arizona Cardinals. Los Angeles clearly has more weapons than the Cards and they’re a more experienced team. For whatever reason though, they just didn’t show up in this one.

If we are being honest, this win shouldn’t have a lasting effect. While all loses do hurt, this one at least came against an NFC foe meaning it won’t matter as much as some of the other games when it comes to playoff positioning. They’re still a good team with an elite quarterback and a good coach. They should bounce back.
