NFL Power Rankings, Week 3: Cowboys, Ravens silence critics, Saints lose Brees

10. Indianapolis Colts (13)
The Indianapolis Colts were dealt a huge blow before the season began as quarterback Andrew Luck decided to call it a career as he was worried about his long-term health. It’s hard to blame him because he spent the past several seasons battling one injury after another and finally decided he couldn’t do it any longer.
Once that happened, the team claimed they were fine under center as Jacoby Brissett was someone they truly believed in. So far, it looks as though that wasn’t just lip service. They were within six points of the Los Angeles Chargers in Week 1, but Brissett and company were even better this week and they found a way to steal a road win over the Tennessee Titans.
Brissett didn’t light the field up with deep throws as he was good for just 146 yards but he did throw three touchdown passes in a two-point win. It was a tough defensive game, but the ugly wins sometimes help a team more than anything else.
Their victory over the divisional rival made things really tight in the AFC South early on as there are now three teams standing at 1-1. There’s a long way to go but they’re capable of hanging with the rest of the south.
