9. New Orleans Saints (5)

So, will there be another rule-change now that the refs once again hosed the New Orleans Saints in a game against the Los Angeles Rams? The Saints have to feel as though the officials just hate them as they blew a play dead as defensive end Cameron Jordan was running free for a defensive touchdown. Sadly, they didn’t blow the whistle right away either, but they let Jordan get into the open just enough to make sure they were taking a touchdown away.

Then, the refs went to the cameras and said: “our bad” that was a fumble and not an incomplete pass. That took away what would have been the only touchdown of the game for New Orleans, but who knows if it could have shifted the momentum some.

Either way, they fell to 1-1 as they were unable to hang with the team that beat them (thanks to the refs) in the NFC Championship game last season. More upsetting for them was the injury suffered by Drew Brees, who hit his hand on the helmet of Aaron Donald early in the game.

Teddy Bridgewater came in and tried to keep the chains moving but he’s just not at the same level as No. 9. Hopefully, for them, Brees won’t be gone long.
