NFL Power Rankings, Week 3: Cowboys, Ravens silence critics, Saints lose Brees

7. Seattle Seahawks (12)
In Week 1, the Seattle Seahawks weren’t overly impressive. They won by a score of 21-20, but that was at home against the Cincinnati Bengals, who they should have handled with more ease. In Week 2, they won by just two, but it was a little more impressive as they were on the road against the Pittsburgh Steelers.
The Seahawks have historically struggled to travel across the country and remain effective, but they did just that as they put up 28 on the Steelers in their own house. Russell Wilson was especially effective as he had 300 yards passing with three touchdowns. He also added 22 yards on the ground as he did all he could to keep the chains moving.
Wilson had help from both Rashaad Penny and Chris Carson who each had over 60 yards on the ground and Penny crossed the goal line for them. Their only real issue on offense was fumbling as both Wilson and Carson lost one, which helped Pittsburgh hang in the game.
Their defense, although no longer the Legion of Boom that used to carry the team, has been decent and doing just enough to keep the score close. Their division is pretty tough, but this is a battle tested team that can be dangerous if they’re able to keep squeaking out close wins.
