NFL Power Rankings, Week 3: Cowboys, Ravens silence critics, Saints lose Brees

30. New York Jets (25): Play on Monday Night Football vs. Browns
This was a weird offseason for the New York Jets as head coach Adam Gase followed up the most awkward press conference of all-time with a power move that sent the general manager packing. Now in full control, Gase started the season 0-1 with a one-point loss — but things look even worse going forward.
Quarterback Sam Darnold has come down with mono, putting him on the sideline for an unknown amount of time. Also out is wide receiver Quincy Enunwa and there have been other injuries that have limited star players like C.J. Mosely and Le’Veon Bell.
Now, they look to put all that in the rearview mirror as they look for win No. 1 on the second week of Monday Night Football. It’s a historic game as the first-ever Monday night game featured the Jets and Browns, which makes this a great match during the league’s 100-year anniversary.
For Gase, who had a rough time in Miami due to his rugged personality, this game looms large. Should he fall to 0-2, there will be a lot of pressure on him and it would be hard to shrug it off as the team being without Darnold since they have a competent backup in Trevor Siemian.
This game is huge for both teams, and should either fall to 0-2, this season could get ugly fast.
