Dud: Nelson Agholor

A glance at the box score may have you believing that Philadelphia Eagles wide receiver Nelson Aghoolor had a monster game. After all, he finished the night by catching eight of his 11 targets for a team-high 107 yards and one touchdown to lead the team as the group of wide receivers was exceptionally injury-stricken throughout Sunday night. However, it was one of the three targets he didn’t catch that lands him on being named a dud.

With just over one minute remaining, Agholor made a huge catch on fourth-and-14 to keep the Eagles alive. However, just 30 seconds prior to that, he could have put Philadelphia in the lead. Agholor got loose on the left sideline and Wentz delivered a perfect ball to his wide receiver in stride. Instead, the wideout short-armed it and let the ball hit the turf. It’s hard to pin a loss on one player — but this may have been the nail in the coffin for the Eagles, which is a tough look for Agholor.

Studs: Derek Barnett and Brandon Graham

When you look at the night for the Eagles pass rush, you might not think it was all that great considering that Matt Ryan was only sacked once on the night. However, the Falcons quarterback was under duress for much of the night, which led to at least two of his three interceptions on the night. And Derek Barnett and Brandon Graham played the biggest role in making that happen.

The Eagles defensive ends were menaces on Sunday Night Football. Barnett finished the game with three quarterback hits while Graham notched one, though neither accrued a sack. Even still, they were consistently pushing the Atlanta offensive tackles either into Ryan or out of the way so that they could get after the quarterback. This remains a massive strength for the Eagles moving forward.
