Fantasy football has already gotten off to a rollercoaster start with injuries and more. But be sure to hit the waiver wire in Week 3 for these players.

We’re only two weeks into the 2019 NFL season and, thus, the fantasy football season and many things have already been thrown off the rails. There are always breakout players, which is part of the beauty of fantasy. However, big-time injuries have truly shaken up the league in a big way, which has drastically altered the fantasy football landscape in turn.

Obviously the two biggest injuries in Week 2 occurred with the quarterbacks of the New Orleans Saints and Pittsburgh Steelers. Having Drew Brees out for six weeks and Ben Roethlisberger out for the season severely changes the value of the skill-position players around them moving forward, some for the worst like Michael Thomas and JuJu Smith-Schuster and some for the better, such as with Alvin Kamara.

These two injuries come on the heels of others that happened in Week 1. In the first week, we saw Nick Foles go down with a broken clavicle, thus dropping the stock of many Jaguars in fantasy football, or at least seemingly so. Meanwhile, Chiefs wide receiver Tyreek Hill is out for several weeks, thus making some players in Kansas City far more valuable than they otherwise would have been.

With these high-profile injuries, that means that fantasy football owners have to hit the waiver wire hard in Week 3. Some of the moves will be for season-long adds while you might just be streaming or taking flyers at other spots. Whatever the reason, though, you should always be looking to improve your roster or adjust to circumstances.

As such, we’re going to go position-by-position through the fantasy football waiver wire in Week 3 to look at players owned in less than 50 percent of leagues that can help your roster. And for defenses, we’ll look at teams that fit those criteria while having great matchup in Week 3. We start with the quarterbacks.
