Fantasy Football 2019: Waiver wire targets for Week 3
Wide Receiver
Terry McLaurin, Redskins (41.0 percent owned)
It’s baffling that McLaurin is still under 50 percent owned. He showed in Week 1 with 23.5 fantasy points that he’s going to be a huge part of Washington’s offense and now did it again with 17.2 points in Week 2. Add him if he’s not already on a roster and be better for it. He’s WR1 for the Redskins.
Demarcus Robinson, Chiefs (1.1 percent owned)
While everyone had eyes on Mecole Hardman, it was Demarcus Robinson that stole the show in Week 2 for the Chiefs with Tyreek Hill out. With 35.2 points in PPR formats, Robinson was the highest-scoring player in fantasy football for Week 2. While that may not happen again, he’s a deep threat in a terrific offense that needs to be added.
Nelson Agholor, Eagles (4.3 percent owned)
Adding Agholor is a bit speculative but he was a big-time performer for the Eagles in Week 2 due to injuries with Alshon Jeffery and DeSean Jackson. If they miss any time, though, Agholor will play a big role and could be the No. 1 option for Wentz in Philadelphia.
Deebo Samuel, 49ers (12.8 percent owned)
This is a bit of a speculative add coming off of a game where the rookie Samuel had five catches for 87 yards and a touchdown along with two rushes for seven yards (20.4 fantasy points). He was virtually invisible in Week 1 but the 49ers youngster could have a growing role in a nicely developing offense.
D.J. Chark, Jaguars (22.2 percent owned)
It’s worth noting that Chark might not play on a short week (Thursday vs. Tennessee) given a minor ankle injury. However, he might be worth adding and stashing as he looks like a major part in the Jaguars offense, registering 13 targets, two touchdowns and 43.1 fantasy football points in PPR scoring to this point.
Other available options: Isaiah McKenzie, Bills (0 percent owned); Preston Williams, Dolphins (2.7 percent owned); Mecole Hardman, Chiefs (38.3 percent owned); Devin Smith, Cowboys (0 percent owned)
