12. Evans posts first 100-yard game of 2019

Just when it seemed like the Tampa Bay Buccaneers were heading towards another disappointing year following a Week 1 collapse against the San Francisco 49ers, the team bounced back strong with a key road win over the Carolina Panthers.

Back in the offseason, the Buccaneers hired Bruce Arians with the hope of the head coach figuring out a way to get the best from the offense, especially when it came to Jameis Winston under center.

One performance doesn’t make Winston and company off the hook, but Tampa Bay’s win over Carolina should provide some much-needed confidence heading into a Week 3 matchup against the New York Giants.

Looking at the defense of the Giants through two weeks, and some of the big games the unit has allowed to opposing wide receivers, this seems like the perfect opportunity for Mike Evans to finally break loose for that first 100-yard game of the season.

When healthy, Evans has proven to be one of the most difficult receivers to cover since his size and strength seem to give a major advantage over opponents.

All due respect to the Giants, but who on earth is going to be able to keep Evans in check during this one?
