10. Lions shock Eagles with win in Philly

Are the Detroit Lions the real deal? One week after settling for an embarrassing tie against the Arizona Cardinals, the Lions bounced back with a statement win over the Los Angeles Chargers.

Technically, Detroit is one of the few remaining undefeated teams sitting at 1-0-1 heading into their Week 3 contest against the Philadelphia Eagles, who will be looking to bounce back themselves after a tough loss to the Atlanta Falcons Sunday night.

Without question, the outcome of Sunday’s game could have been much different for the Eagles if it weren’t for all of the injuries piling up like crazy.

No matter how much Philadelphia tried to keep their key players on the field, Doug Pederson and company just couldn’t seem to catch a break.

From Alshon Jeffery to DeSean Jackson, it’s no wonder the Eagles struggled the way they did with all of the injuries that took place.

So if the Lions were looking for the perfect opportunity to take advantage of a banged-up playoff contender like the Eagles, Week 3 seems like the perfect opportunity.

Carson Wentz made it clear in Atlanta that he’s one of the toughest quarterbacks in the NFL, but there’s only so much the Eagles quarterback can do on his own if Philadelphia is dealing with the injury bug.
