19. Murray earns first career win as starter

Sooner or later, Kyler Murray is finally going to pick up that first win as a member of the Arizona Cardinals, and if the quarterback is lucky, it could even come this weekend when taking on the Carolina Panthers.

One week after almost pulling off an upset against the Detroit Lions, the Cardinals gave the Baltimore Ravens a major scare in Week 2 by coming up short 23-17.

When taking into consideration that Baltimore is already showing signs of being one of the top contenders in the AFC, Murray and the Cardinals should take what took place last Sunday as an experience to build off from.

By proving they have what it takes to compete on the road against a playoff-caliber team such as the Ravens, Arizona may be able to earn more wins than originally expected in 2019.

Since Ron Rivera’s Panthers are dealing with all sorts of issues through the first two weeks, expect Murray to take full advantage of the situation.

Carolina’s defense certainly won’t make it easy, but after competing against the Ravens the way he did, the Panthers should be much easier for Murray to handle, and potentially take off the pressure of finally earning that first win as a starter.
