13. Fitzpatrick records interception in Steelers debut

Desperation may soon be kicking in for the Pittsburgh Steelers since the team has not only lost each of their first two games, but also just discovered the news that Ben Roethlisberger would miss the remainder of the season due to an elbow injury.

For a team that was already facing heavy pressure to prove they would be able to get by without Antonio Brown, the loss of Big Ben is the last thing the Steelers could afford to deal with, although it will be exciting to see how Mason Rudolph looks as the new starter.

Pittsburgh’s playoff chances may have taken a major hit over the loss of Roethlisberger, but at least the team made a big move this week by acquiring Minkah Fitzpatrick from the Miami Dolphins.

Since the Dolphins appear to be giving up on the regular season by going through tank mode, at least the Steelers were able to benefit from the addition of Fitzpatrick, as the safety should provide an immediate boost on defense.

Facing the 2-0 San Francisco 49ers on the road will be another difficult challenge for Pittsburgh, but if Rudolph can step up on offense, and Fitzpatrick wastes little time by making an impact, the Steelers may finally earn that first win.
