Baltimore Ravens vs. Kansas City Chiefs: 5 Bold predictions for Week 3
Patrick Mahomes and the Kansas City Chiefs welcome Lamar Jackson’s Baltimore Ravens and fireworks are expected at Arrowhead. Bold predictions for this game.
The strong argument could be made that no two NFL teams have been as exciting and simply fun to watch as the Kansas City Chiefs and Baltimore Ravens through the first couple of weeks in the 2019 season. As fate would have it, fans will now be treated to these two teams, led by Patrick Mahomes and Lamar Jackson, squaring off in Week 3 at vaunted Arrowhead Stadium.
While everything looks different on paper than when it plays out on the field, this game has the makings of an instant classic when you look at all of the parts. That, of course, starts with the superstars at quarterback. Mahomes and Jackson are off to torrid starts in 2019 so seeing them go toe-to-toe could result in magic.
On top of that, the playmakers around those two quarterbacks are highly intriguing. While the Chiefs are without Tyreek Hill, they still have the likes of Travis Kelce, Sammy Watkins and even Week 2 breakout performer Demarcus Robinson. And in an Andy Reid offense, they’re liable to explode no matter who’s on the field.
In regards to the Ravens, they also have their share of big names to watch. Tight end Mark Andrews has been a stud in the first two games of the year and rookie wide receiver Marquise Brown has the look of a superstar in the making. Throw in Mark Ingram running well and this team has plenty of weapons.
Perhaps the most intriguing aspect of this Week 3 matchup, though, is that neither defense seems fully prepared to contain the opposing offense. The result could then be an all-out offensive assault, which is the best kind of fun to enjoy on an NFL Sunday.
With offense on the brain, let’s get wild and make five bold predictions for this marquee Week 3 contest between the Kansas City Chiefs and Baltimore Ravens.
