1. Chiefs, Ravens combine for 70+ points

According to Bovada, the Over/Under point total for Sunday’s high-profile matchup between the Kansas City Chiefs and Baltimore Ravens is set at 52.5. That is by far the highest total of any of the Week 3 games throughout the league. In fact, it’s the only game on Sunday or Monday that has a total north of 50 points. And I still don’t think it’s remotely high enough.

While the Ravens defense is the best unit — depending on what you think of the Jaguars — that the Chiefs will have faced in the young 2019 season, I’m not sure that anyone can truly contain Mahomes and this offense. They are the type of group that can simply explode against anyone, even down Tyreek Hill and at least one starting running back.

At the same time, though, the Ravens have proven that they too are an explosive offensive team. And as the Chiefs are going to have their success in scoring the ball, Lamar Jackson and Baltimore are going to need to keep the pace. Against a porous Kansas City defense, they too should be able to move the ball with relative ease in this game.

Thus, I’m predicting that the Chiefs and Ravens combine for at least 70 points on Sunday afternoon at Arrowhead. In truth, I almost pushed that total to 80 points but that felt like it might be just a little too bold. Even still, we’ve got a shootout brewing in Kansas City that should be a treat for fans to ingest in Week 3.
