FanDuel NFL picks, Week 3: Best DFS picks and lineup
Defenses
Cowboys (at MIA), $5,000 – Stack. Your. Cowboys. In all seriousness, Dallas’ defense is expensive but worth it. Josh Rosen is making his first start for the Dolphins and Miami has literally nothing on offense that scares you. In fact, they make enough mistakes to give you monstrous upside.
Patriots (vs. NYJ), $5,000 – Speaking of great matchups, a defense that had 37 points against Miami last week now faces Luke Falk and the Jets. Give me every bit of that in my FanDuel lineup — if you don’t like Dallas.
Packers (vs. DEN), $4,500 – The Packers have been one of the most impressive real-life defenses to this point. Meanwhile, Joe Flacco is currently the quarterback for the Broncos. That seems like a recipe for a big game in Week 3 for Green Bay’s D.
Buccaneers (vs. NYG), $4,300 – I’m a big fan of Todd Bowles taking on a rookie quarterback in Daniel Jones in this game. The Buccaneers defense isn’t great but the matchup here is certainly enticing on Sunday afternoon.
49ers (vs. PIT), $3,700 – Optimism around the 49ers defense should be tempered but anytime you have a D going up against a quarterback making his first NFL start, consider me intrigued.
Seahawks (vs. NO), $3,400 – See the above blip regarding the 49ers defense, except it’s a backup instead of a first career start.
Cardinals (vs. CAR), $3,200 – This is a massive risk but, for the same reason that the 49ers and Seahawks are interesting plays in Week 3, the Cardinals are playing Kyle Allen on Sunday. That could be good for Arizona, despite their deficiencies.
