3. Alexander gets the best of Flacco

The Green Bay Packers have already notched three interceptions on the 2019 season. Adrian Amos sealed the Week 1 win with a pick while Preston Smith and Kevin King have also added takeaways to their credit on the season. That’s been just one part of the impressive defensive effort to this point of the year.

However, the curious part about the three interceptions for Green Bay is the fact that cornerback Jaire Alexander has not yet nabbed one. Alexander has by far been the most impressive piece of the Packers secondary to this point and the stats (outside of interceptions show that). He’s already notched four pass defenses this season, the most on the team as the next highest total is just two.

Alexander is a star in the making on the defensive side of the football and is certainly showing it. At the same time, you want to see him actually notch takeaways to really make an impact. And I believe that he does that against Flacco and the Broncos.

Not only is it impossible to have faith in Flacco at this point, but the Broncos offense as a whole is going to struggle against this Green Bay defense. They are going to get pressure and force bad decisions. One such bad decision will be testing Alexander, an exam that the cornerback will pass with flying colors by notching his first interception of the season.
