1. Teddy Bridgewater

The last player who must have a big game should come as no surprise. With Drew Brees out, Teddy Bridgewater is their answer. It isn’t ideal but right now, it’s all the team can do until Brees comes back.

Looking at Week 2, Bridgewater put up decent stats. He finished the game with a completion percentage of 56.7, threw for no touchdowns along with no interceptions and less than 200 yards. To say that the game was underwhelming would be a complete understatement. It was supposed to be the Saints’ time for revenge and everything fell apart.

Similar to Kamara, Week 3 is the time for Bridgewater to break out and have a good game against the Seahawks. He needs to utilize guys like Michael Thomas and Jared Cook as they’re his security blanket. Additionally, he needs to remember to rely on Kamara as Brees does when his normal targets are preoccupied.

For Bridgewater, it’s going to be less about accuracy and more about finding his targets without getting sacked as he was against the Rams.

Overall, the game is going to come down to how the team plays as a whole. With Brees out, the rest of the team has to step up and show that they’re worth the hype. The Saints are set up for success and if Bridgewater can implement what he learned from Brees, then they should be much improved against the Seahawks.

If not, then it’s going to be a long six weeks for the Saints until Brees returns. Even if it’s only by a few points, a win over the Seahawks would be a major confidence boost for the New Orleans Saints.
