2020 NFL Mock Draft: Raiders strike gold with A.J. Epenesa, Giants nab Chase Young
No matter if it’s Nick Foles or Gardner Minshew playing quarterback, the Jacksonville Jaguars are largely devoid of serious playmakers on offense. D.J. Chark looks as if he may be the real deal but even still, he’s not the all-around talent that Alabama’s Jerry Jeudy is. Perhaps the single most talented player in the 2020 NFL Draft class, Jeudy is a dynamic threat that can do it all for an offense.
Andy Dalton has been a relatively solid hand for the Cincinnati Bengals and has actually been quite good to start 2019. But is that his ceiling? Probably. And does this franchise need to take a new path at quarterback? Definitely. They do so here with Justin Herbert, a fantastic prototype of an athlete out of Oregon that perhaps has more natural talent than Tua. The risk is greater but so too is the payoff if he pans out.
Do the Denver Broncos have greater needs than a safety? 100 percent they do. However, they are a defensive-minded team with Vic Fangio at the helm and it’s hard to see them passing up a player like Grant Delpit out of LSU. He’s a leader and a true difference-maker on the back end of any defense with his versatile ability against the run and pass that will fit right in with the Broncos.
Kyler Murray has been highly impressive through the first two weeks of his NFL career. However, the same issues that Rosen had last year are still present, specifically with the offensive line. The Cardinals remedy that with Tristan Wirfs out of Iowa. The big, athletic tackle has the ability to start from day one and be a perfect piece in Kliff Kingsbury‘s offense.
