2020 NFL Mock Draft: Raiders strike gold with A.J. Epenesa, Giants nab Chase Young
Some might argue that CeeDee Lamb is the better overall receiver than Alabama’s Henry Ruggs III. But at the same time, I can’t shake the notion of big-armed Josh Allen throwing the ball to the fastest player in the 2020 class. As such, you’ll see me give Ruggs to the Buffalo Bills in this 202 NFL Mock Draft and in many subsequent ones as well throughout the season.
Terry McLaurin has looked great through his first two NFL games with the Washington Redskins. However, Dwayne Haskins is going to need more weapons beyond his former teammate. Enter the aforementioned Lamb out of Oklahoma. A master of body-control and winning 50-50 balls, Lamb could be a terrific addition to the Washington offense for the future.
The Carolina Panthers need to find more stability on the defensive side of the ball moving forward, particularly in the secondary. Kristian Fulton could well be the best cornerback in the class, coming out of LSU with a tremendous pedigree. He’s been the best player at the position in Baton Rouge for two years now and could pair dangerously with James Bradberry.
Call this a hot take or an overreaction but LSU’s Joe Burrow has looked like the third-best quarterback in the 2020 class — so he goes off the board as the third quarterback in this 2020 NFL Mock Draft. The Tampa Bay Buccaneers need to move on from Jameis Winston as he’s clearly not the long-term answer they’d hoped, so they do so by getting the TIgers signal-caller in hand.
