Following the Atlanta Falcons loss to the Indianapolis Colts in Week 3 of the regular season, here are three studs and duds for the Falcons in the defeat.

Coming off of a strong performance against the Philadelphia Eagles in Week 2 of the 2019 NFL regular season, the Atlanta Falcons followed it up by taking a step back on Sunday afternoon in Indianapolis. The Falcons suffered their second loss of the season after taking on the Indianapolis Colts on Sunday at Lucas Oil Stadium, falling to the Colts 27-24 on the road.

Hitting the road for the second time this season, Atlanta fell behind early to Indianapolis in its first matchup against an AFC opponent this season.

The Colts were able to grab 20-3 advantage over the Falcons through the first half of action and that proved to be too much for Atlanta to be able to overcome to steal a win on the road.

The Falcons made a late-game comeback attempt, scoring 21 of their 24 points in the second half including recording 14 points in the final quarter, but Atlanta fell away from home for the second straight time to begin the 2019 campaign.

With the loss, the Falcons dropped to 1-2 on the season and have looked like a completely different team on the road than they have so far at home this year. Atlanta will look to battle back up to the .500 mark in Week 4 when it hosts the Tennessee Titans at home.

In the win for Indianapolis, it now improves to 2-1 overall on the year while getting off to a nice start in the season following the tough news of quarterback Andrew Luck retiring right before the regular-season schedule began. The Colts will get right back to action on Sunday when they host the struggling Oakland Raiders at noon in Indianapolis.

Following Atlanta’s second loss of the season on Sunday afternoon in Indianapolis, let’s take a look back at the game and pick out three studs and three duds for the Falcons.
