DraftKings NFL picks, Week 3: Best bargains in DFS fantasy football
By Drew DeLuca
Take advantage of our positional DFS fantasy football analysis to identify the players who represent the best bang for the buck on DraftKings in Week 3.
DFS success springs from a no-nonsense approach towards balancing high-dollar producers with low-cost value propositions. The quarterbacks, running backs, and wide receivers below are all priced outside of the top 12 at their positions for Week 3 on DraftKings. Tight end values will be determined by a different method. As the weeks pass, dependable values are harder to come by at this position than any other.
Don’t sit on the sidelines; let our recommendations help you punch in a winning lineup. Refer to our position-by-position breakdown as you construct your winning DFS lineup on DraftKings this week.
However, be sure keep an eye on the injury report so you can pounce on last-minute values. For example, Jaylen Samuels PIT (at SF, $5300) is not a great value in his own right this week, but he will be if James Conner either has a game day setback.
Likewise, Marlon Mack was limited in practice this week. Keep an eye on his game-time status, and be ready to audible for Nyheim Hines (vs. ATL, $3,400), who may already be slated for a larger role in the passing game with T.Y. Hilton dinged up.
Quarterbacks
Josh Allen BUF (vs. CIN, $5,900): Through two weeks, Allen is a top-12 fantasy quarterback. He’s leveled up as a passer, and with Devin Singletary out, may use his legs a bit more this week. He’s a low risk, high reward play against a Cincinnati Bengals team that ranks in the league’s bottom tier in both yards and points allowed.
Matt Ryan ATL (at IND, $5,700): The former MVP is a consensus top-five fantasy quarterback who has thrown five interceptions in two games. Ryan’s too good to keep turning it over that often, and the Colts’ defense is allowing opposing quarterbacks to complete 71 percent of their passes. Ryan is a safe bet to stack with either Julio Jones or Calvin Ridley.
Matthew Stafford DET (at PHI, $5,500): Ryan just gashed the Philadelphia Eagles for 320 yards and three touchdowns. This came a week after Jim Schwartz’s unit made a stud out of Case Keenum, a journeyman who’s played for five teams in the past six seasons. Stafford should have his way in the Keystone State with an Eagles secondary that has resembled the Keystone Cops this season.
Jameis Winston TB (vs. NYG, $5,400): Winston’s Jekyll and Hyde act will scare away many, but few elixirs are better for passing game woes than the New York Giants. The Giants are one of the three worst passing defenses in the league. Expect Winston to light up the scoreboard in this get-right game.
