3. Mack, Floyd combine for 3+ sacks

When healthy, there’s a case to be made that the Chicago Bears have one of the best pass-rushing duos off of the edge in the NFL. We all know about the blockbuster Khalil Mack trade that the team completed prior to last season. However, former first-round pick Leonard Floyd remains in the fold for Chicago as well and the duo has already produced this season in regards to the pass rush and getting into the opposing backfield.

Through two weeks of action, Mack has one sack and two tackles for loss while Floyd has been healthy and produced with two sacks (both in Week 1 against Green Bay) and three tackles for loss on the year. That’s certainly exactly what Chuck Pagano wants to see from this pair of pass rushers.

As up and down as the Redskins have been on offense this season, though — and even without Trent Williams in the lineup — they have been good at keeping Keenum relatively clean. Keenum helps in that regard with solid ability to move around in and outside the pocket but he’s only been sacked twice through two games.

The Bears, however, will best that total in Week 3 alone against the Redskins, specifically from Mack and Floyd. Washington’s lack of a run game will allow the Bears to bring pass-rush pressure near relentlessly throughout the night and the star pair of edge rushers will feast as they’ll combine for three sacks on the night.
