2. Keenum stays ‘perfect’ with no interceptions

For as bad as the Washington Redskins rushing attack has been this season, you have to tip your cap to how well Case Keenum has played through the first two weeks of the 2019 season. The Washington quarterback that many viewed as nothing more than a placeholder for rookie first-round pick Dwayne Haskins has actually been one of the bright spots for this team in a winless start.

Keenum has been airing it out for the Redskins thus far and has largely delivered. On the season, he’s gone 56-of-81 (69.1 percent completion rate) for 601 yards and five touchdowns. Perhaps most impressively with how much he’s been throwing the ball, Keenum has been good at protecting the ball with no interceptions on his ledger to this point.

As good as the Bears defense has performed this season to this point, allowing 10 points in Week 1 and just 14 points in Week 2, they have not been particularly adept at forcing turnovers. They have just one interception to their credit in the first two games of the season. And while they’re going to pressure Keenum, they won’t force mistakes.

There’s no denying that Keenum is an imperfect player. However, he’s not a risk-happy passer that puts his team in bad positions. Even under duress on Monday Night Football, he’ll put that skill on display by not giving the Bears any extra opportunities and ultimately keeping a zero in the interceptions column for 2019.
