The Week 4 edition of the 2019 NFL Power Rankings have shifted once again as Daniel Jones ushered in a new era of New York Giants football and the Green Bay Packers stayed perfect.

One of the most prominent storylines in Week 3 was all the new starters under center around the league. Veterans Drew Brees and Ben Roethlisberger each had surgery meaning the New Orleans Saints were going with Teddy Bridgewater against the Seattle Seahawks and Pittsburgh would start Mason Rudolph against the San Francisco 49ers.

Also out was Cam Newton of the Carolina Panthers, although he didn’t need surgery as Brees and Big Ben did. With him sitting out due to a foot injury, Kyle Allen got the nod as they went against Kyler Murray and the Arizona Cardinals.

Two of those three reserves got the win as Allen led the Panthers to a victory as did Bridgewater. However, the Bridgewater win was a much bigger surprise considering the fact they were on the road against a Seattle team that shines at home.

However, the new starter who really took it to the next level was Daniel Jones. The Duke product was taken sixth overall by the New York Giants and there were plenty of doubters out there who mocked general manager Dave Gettleman for the pick.

In his first start, Jones made Gettleman look good as he led them to a ferocious comeback that ended with him running in a game-winning touchdown — which was his second of the night. At 1-2, they have some work to do but the G-Men are alive now thanks to their new starter.

Other than the new starters, some of the veterans continued to shine as well — including Aaron Rodgers and the Green Bay Packers. After missing the postseason each of the past two seasons due to injuries to Rodgers, the Pack is off to a fast 3-0 start. Of course, it helps that they finally have a defense making things difficult on all their opponents.

Those games and more have caused our 2019 NFL Power Rankings to shift some as we enter Week 4 of the season. Let’s dive right in and see how the teams stand.
