NFL Power Rankings, Week 4: Daniel Jones ignites Giants, Packers stay perfect
By Randy Gurzi
11. Buffalo Bills (24)
Don’t look now, but the Buffalo Bills are on a roll and sitting at 3-0 after their 21-17 win over the Cincinnati Bengals. They scored back-to-back wins in MetLife Stadium as they knocked off the New York Jets followed by the New York Giants. After those wins, quarterback Josh Allen reminded some reporters that the Bills do play in New York as they tried to say Allen could have ended up playing there had the Jets or Giants drafted him.
Buffalo finally had their first home game this weekend and Allen was able to guide them to yet another win. They were in control for most of the game as they were up 14-0 early. Eventually, the Bengals got back into it and even took a 17-14 lead late in the fourth.
After giving up the lead, Allen and the Bills simply got to work and went 78 yards on seven plays. That drive was capped off with a one-yard touchdown from veteran running back Frank Gore. He put them on top 21-17, which proved to be the final score.
Next week will be a huge test for them as they host the New England Patriots. Should they be able to knock off the defending champs, it could be time to take them seriously.
