10. Detroit Lions (20)

Outside of the big comeback they allowed to Kyler Murray and the Arizona Cardinals in Week 1, the Detroit Lions have been great this season. That first game ended with a tie but since then, they’ve been able to reel off back-to-back wins. In Week 2, they were able to score a win over the Los Angeles Chargers, a team they weren’t expected to win. They followed that up with another surprising victory this week over the Eagles.

After falling behind 3-0, they scored a touchdown on the kickoff return as Jamal Agnew went for 100 yards. They then surrendered a touchdown to Jordan Howard but took over from there. Kerryon Johnson ran one in and Matt Prater knocked in two field goals to go up 20-10.

Philly got back into it but after they made it a three-point game, Matthew Stafford hit Marvin Jones for a 12-yard touchdown to once again go up by 10. They then held on to win it 27-17, making it a 2-0-1 start to the 2019 season.

It’s an impressive start for a team that wasn’t expected to have a shot in the NFC North with the Chicago Bears, Green Bay Packers, and Minnesota Vikings in their division. However, they find themselves right in the race early on and they seem to be getting better every week.
