NFL Power Rankings, Week 4: Daniel Jones ignites Giants, Packers stay perfect

9. Indianapolis Colts (10)
It seems as though the Indianapolis Colts just thrive when faced with adversity. Last year, there was a lot of drama after they hired Josh McDaniels as their head coach but then saw him decide to go back to the New England Patriots and remain their offensive coordinator. Indianapolis had to call an audible as they scrambled for a new coach.
They wound up taking a chance with Frank Reich and it looked as though he would have a tough rookie season. The Colts started out 1-5, but then reeled off nine wins in their final 10 games and won a playoff game.
This made the hype real heading into 2019 but then they were again dealt a blow as Andrew Luck surprisingly retired ahead of the season as injuries had piled up on him. The Colts then gave his backup a new deal and turned things over to Jacoby Brissett.
So far, that’s looked like a wise move as Brissett has guided them to a 2-1 start with their latest win being a 27-24 victory over the Atlanta Falcons. Brissett was able to throw 310 yards with two touchdowns and no picks. There were reportedly several teams interested in acquiring Brissett last season while Luck was in town, but the Colts declined and that looks to be a brilliant move by them.
